Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, while addressing a public meeting at Arki in Solan district on Saturday, accused the BJP of “failing to safeguard the interests of the state”. He said, “If the BJP had been at the helm of affairs in Himachal when the agreement for the Kishau Dam was signed, the people of the state would have had to bear an additional burden of Rs 3,000 crore to Rs 5,000 crore. Not only this, the state could also have lost potential annual revenue of Rs 1,200 crore to Rs 1,500 crore due to the old terms and conditions.”
