Twelve surrendered Naxals rehabilitated in Balaghat are awaiting consent from Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra to return to their villages. Once armed forest operatives, they now possess Aadhaar, ration and Ayushman cards, bank accounts and vocational skills in driving, electrical work or tailoring, alongside financial assistance of up to Rs 35 lakh.
