Supreme Court holds lift company liable for RAW officer's death in faulty elevator - The Times of India
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court, in a judgment dated July 29, held that lift manufacturers, maintenance companies and building owners can all be held responsible if a person dies or is injured in a lift accident. The court said companies responsible for maintaining lifts have a high duty of care towards passengers and cannot ignore known defects.
