India has appointed General NS Raja Subramani as the new Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) amid a wider leadership reshuffle in the armed forces. The move has been welcomed by Anand Mahindra, who said the CDS role is crucial in todays world where integration matters more than just military strength, and praised the Generals vision of linking the armed forces with industry, academia, startups, and research.
