An IIM Indore study found that metaverse-enabled workplaces improve employee engagement by promoting social interaction, collaboration and psychological support rather than technology alone. The research recommends combining immersive platforms with thoughtful workplace design, leadership support and digital literacy to create more inclusive, productive and engaging hybrid work environments.
