Centuries ago, the Chɔra people of the Guan ethnic group who lived around where the Krachis currently live, wandered through thick forests and located a Vagla inhabited community of Sonyor (which, in Vagli dialect, means - sit and drink), who accepted them and gave them asylum to live with them.
