Introducing Marv, a chchin obake, or paper lantern ghost. This tall, red, cylindrical lantern appears slimy. Aging lanterns, known as chchin, can transform into chchin obake. The lantern's paper splits along a rib, creating a gaping mouth with a wild, lolling tongue. Chchin obake rarely harm, preferring to surprise and scare humans.
