After surpassing petrol registrations for the first time in Q2 2026, BEV sales in the EU were 44% higher than petrol ones in Q3 . Battery electric vehicles in the EU had a market share of 27% in Q3 2026. Over the first three quarters of 2026, the EU27 BEV share increased by almost 7 percentage points compared with 2025, rising from 16.1% to 22.7%. (....)
