James Ropotar says strong communications skills are essential to the success of engineering projects – particularly when it comes to partnerships with Indigenous communities. A master’s student in the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, Ropotar is currently focused on bridging communications gaps between operators of small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs) and the communities they are meant to support.
