BMC Targets 184 Garbage Hotspots In Mumbai, Orders Stricter Monitoring Of Waste And Construction Debris
The BMC says 184 of Mumbai’s 286 identified garbage-vulnerable points remain unresolved and has ordered hotspot mapping, stronger CCTV surveillance and penalties for repeat offenders. Only 46 of 55 dry waste centres are operational, while daily construction debris far exceeds processing capacity, prompting tighter tracking and enforcement.
