Western Railway’s Mumbai Central division recorded its highest-ever single-day ticket-checking revenue of Rs 80.38 lakh on November 6, detecting 8,600 cases. The collection was 17.3% above its previous record of Rs 68.54 lakh. Under Operation Deep, the division collected Rs 3.28 crore from November 1 to 6, including cases of travel without tickets, higher-class travel and unbooked luggage.
