The Thane Coastal Road-1 project has achieved 40% physical progress within 14 months, with foundation work, piers and girder installation underway. Authorities said 332 of 426 working piles and 277 piers have been completed. The 13.45-km corridor between Kharegaon and Gaymukh aims to reduce Ghodbunder Road congestion and improve freight connectivity towards highways and ports.
