Maharashtra received a national award for outstanding performance under the PMFME scheme, with Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane accepting the honour in New Delhi. The state has 31,956 approved food processing projects, including 17,941 led by women. Officials said the scheme has supported entrepreneurship, employment generation and value addition of agricultural produce across Maharashtra.
