AMRUT 2.0 Push: UP Approves Municipal Bonds For Gorakhpur, Moradabad Corporations To Boost Urban Infrastructure Funding
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved Municipal Bond proposals for Gorakhpur and Moradabad Municipal Corporations to strengthen urban infrastructure financing. Under AMRUT 2.0 guidelines, Gorakhpur may issue bonds worth up to Rs 80 crore and Moradabad up to Rs 50 crore. The move aims to improve creditworthiness, mobilise market funds and make urban local bodies more financially self-reliant.
