An NHRC bench led by Priyank Kanoongo has sought clarity on the manufacture, sale and consumption of ‘analogue paneer’, including its composition, nutrition and food safety. The Commission has sought information from FSSAI and chief secretaries of all states and Union Territories, directing authorities to submit action-taken reports within two weeks.
