Zutaten:
- 1 lb shrimp ((peeled and deveined))
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- cooking oil ((for frying))
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 2 cups red cabbage ((shredded))
- ½ cup Bang Bang Sauce ((see recipe, or use your favorite brand))
- ½ cup roma tomatoes ((diced))
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro ((chopped))
Arbeitsschritte:
- Place 1 lb shrimp in a bowl with ½ cup buttermilk for 15 minutes.
- Whisk ½ cup cornstarch, 1 tsp garlic powder, and ½ tsp salt in a separate bowl.
- Heat cooking oil in a large skillet to 375°F (190°C).
- Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Fry shrimp in batches for 2 minutes per size or until golden and crispy.
- Fill each warmed 8 small corn tortillas with some of the shredded 2 cups red cabbage and 3-4 fried shrimp.
- Drizzle ½ cup Bang Bang Sauce over the top, add some of the ½ cup roma tomatoes and ¼ cup fresh cilantro, and serve.
