The NGT has ordered authorities to identify all sewage outfalls into Bhopal’s Upper and Lower lakes and prepare a time-bound plan for zero untreated discharge. The State Pollution Control Board has three weeks to submit a report. The tribunal also suggested cameras and digital flow meters to monitor sewage interception systems.
