China has maintained close communication with regional governments, with Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Special Envoy Zhai Jun engaging counterparts across the Middle East. While Beijing says it supports peace and de-escalation, analysts remain divided over how much influence China is willing or able to exert over Iran. The latest diplomatic efforts come as Gulf countries seek to prevent further disruption to regional trade, energy exports and maritime security amid an increasingly fragile security environment.
