India's defence ministry has embarked on a pivotal initiative to procure new military transport aircraft, with an investment of around one lakh crore rupees. This ambitious program aims to manufacture sixty aircraft locally, with competition spanning between American company Lockheed Martin and Brazil's Embraer. Indian firms like Tata, Adani, Mahindra, and HAL will spearhead local manufacturing efforts alongside international partners.
