BMC will provide 25,400 litres of eco-friendly paint free of cost to Ganesh idol makers in Mumbai this year. The move aims to reduce water pollution caused by toxic paints containing heavy metals. A ₹1.63 crore procurement proposal will be placed before the Standing Committee. The civic body already supplies free shadu clay for eco-friendly idols.
