NCC cadets of Sant Baba Bhag Singh International School, Khiala, participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-35), organised by 8 Punjab Battalion, NCC, Phagwara, at Lovely Professional University (LPU) from June 2 to 11. A contingent of 51 cadets, comprising 27 boys and 24 girls, represented the school under the guidance of CTO Charanjit. The camp was conducted under the leadership of Colonel Ajay Lumba (Camp Commandant), assisted by Lieutenant Colonel Hitesh RK Kala (Administrative Officer), Subedar Major Konchok Tashi and Camp Adjutant Dr Kamaljit Singh. During the 10-day camp, cadets underwent intensive training in drill, map reading, weapon handling, .22 rifle training and physical fitness activities. The camp provided a valuable platform for developing discipline, leadership qualities, teamwork, confidence and overall personality development. The closing ceremony featured a variety of cultural and sporting events, including group singing, marathon, volleyball, tug-of-war and kho-kho. Demonstrating exceptional talent and dedication, the cadets of Sant Baba Bhag Singh International School achieved remarkable success by securing four gold medals and 10 silver medals in different competitions. Adding to the school’s pride, CTO Charanjit was presented with a Letter of Appreciation by Colonel Ajay Lumba in recognition of his exemplary leadership and the outstanding performance of the school’s NCC contingent.
