Amid an ongoing inquiry into allegations of adulterated silver donations worth around Rs 550 crore at the Vaishno Devi shrine, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has disclosed that it received more than 7.67 tonnes of “white metal” resembling silver between 2024 and June this year.The disclosure was made in response to an RTI application filed by activist Raman Sharma, who had sought details of donations received by the shrine over the past three years.
