Gold is a bully. Put it anywhere near black and it wins every argument, which is why most manufacturers use it sparingly, on a badge, maybe a border, probably just a little accent here or there, that's it. Triumph used it five times on the new Speed Twin 1200 TFC and somehow the bike does
