The DRI arrested four people, including a Bangladeshi national, and seized 2.29 kg of gold in an alleged international smuggling syndicate operating through Mumbai airport. Investigators say gold capsules were handed over to an airport shop employee and later recovered from two other suspects. The probe is examining the gold’s source, distribution and suspected hawala transactions.
