Back or leg pain accompanied by tingling, numbness or weakness can indicate nerve compression requiring medical evaluation, spine surgeon Dr Ketan Dilip Deshpande said at EndospineCon 2026 in Indore. Experts also said more than 80% of persistent back pain patients may avoid surgery through appropriate non-surgical treatment and lifestyle interventions.
