Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned that Gulf states were being dragged into the military confrontation involving the U.S., Israel and Iran, urging diplomacy over further escalation. Moscow and Saudi Arabia are backing the implementation of the June 17 U.S.-Iran agreement and calling for political solutions to regional conflicts. Lavrov also stressed continued OPEC+ coordination and praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts toward a political settlement in Ukraine.
