Uttar Pradesh: Yogi Govt Illuminates 8.25 Lakh Homes With Rooftop Solar Under 'PM Surya Ghar Yojana'
Uttar Pradesh has installed rooftop solar systems in 8.24 lakh homes with 2,769.59 MW capacity under PM Surya Ghar. State figures show 1,25,262 consumers recorded zero or negative electricity bills in June 2026. The installations are estimated to generate 1.25 crore units daily and reduce CO2 emissions by 36.6 lakh metric tonnes annually.
