The BMC has proposed an AI-powered CCTV-based Tourist Footfall Monitoring System for five major tourist and religious destinations in Mumbai. The system will provide real-time data on visitor numbers, crowd density and movement patterns to improve crowd management, public safety and civic service delivery. The proposal will be placed before the BMC General Body for approval.
