Seventeen Shiv Sena office-bearers and supporters were booked after an alleged late-night confrontation at Relief Hospital in Palghar following Dahi Handi celebrations. The hospital alleged workers abused a woman doctor, threatened damage and assaulted staff over treatment bills and discharge of injured Govindas. Shiv Sena leaders disputed the claims, calling it a minor argument.
