The family of a 43-year-old man declared brain-stem dead at KIMS Hospitals, Thane, donated his liver and both kidneys, potentially helping three transplant patients. The hospital said the family consented after counselling, having earlier attended an organ donation awareness session. The organs were retrieved and allocated through ZTCC Mumbai following his death under transplant rules.
