The Ghana Education Service (GES) says continuing students of Obuasi Senior High Technical School (SHTS) are expected to return to school next week, following a temporary closure that began in August. In a press release issued on Thursday, October 22, 2026, and signed by its Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, the Service said preparations were far advanced for the resumption of academic work. The school was temporarily closed to continuing students on August 5 following disturbances on campus. “Management assures that preparations are far advanced for continuing students to return to school sometime next week,” the statement said.
