‘Maharashtra Has Emerged As Hub For Urban Maoist Networks’: Govt Defends MSPSA In Bombay HC
The Maharashtra government has defended the constitutional validity of the Maharashtra Special Public Security Act, 2024, before the Bombay High Court, citing 64 active Maoist frontal organisations in the state. It said the law is needed to tackle unlawful and subversive activities while providing safeguards through an Advisory Board and judicial review.
