The Bombay High Court ordered the release of a Mahindra Thar owned by Russian national Denis Vanin, ruling that an Indian-registered vehicle does not become a foreign import merely because it returns in a shipping container. The court allowed a manual Bill of Entry if electronic filing was not possible.
