4 oz freshly brewed hot coffee
1½ oz Irish whiskey
2 teaspoons packed brown sugar
1 oz heavy cream (lightly whipped)
Freshly grated nutmeg (optional)

Arbeitsschritte:

Lightly whip the heavy cream until it has thickened slightly but is still pourable. We don't want whipped-cream peaks.
Preheat a heatproof Irish coffee glass or mug with hot water. Let it sit briefly, then discard the water.
Add the brown sugar and Irish whiskey to the warm glass.
Pour in the freshly brewed hot coffee and stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.
Hold a spoon just above the coffee and gently pour the cream over the back of the spoon so it floats on top.
If desired, finish with a very light grating of nutmeg.
Serve immediately without stirring.
