Arunachal Flash Floods: Death Toll Rises To 3, Rescue Ops On, 7 Districts Cut Off By Landslides - Times of India Videos
The death toll in Arunachal Pradesh's flash flood disaster has risen to three after rescuers recovered the body of a missing man from neighbouring Papum Pare district. Triggered by a cloudburst and incessant rainfall in Keyi Panyor district, the floods have caused widespread destruction, damaging homes, roads and critical infrastructure. Two people remain missing as search and rescue operations continue. Key highways, including the Hoj-Potin Road, remain closed due to landslides and road washouts, cutting off several districts. Authorities have intensified restoration work, while additional NDRF personnel and relief supplies are being deployed. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has warned of more heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, raising concerns over fresh flash floods, landslides and disruptions across the state.
