The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam George, has announced significant reductions in MTN Ghana's fibre broadband prices, describing the move as a response to calls for more affordable internet services. In a social media post on Wednesday, the minister said engagements between the government and MTN Ghana had resulted in substantial cuts to the cost of unlimited fibre broadband packages. According to him, customers who previously paid GH¢987 for a one-month unlimited 100 Mbps package will now pay GH¢299 for the same service.
