Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Mandar Chandwadkar became a household name after playing the role of Atmaram Tukaram Bhide in the popular sitcom. Not many are aware that the actor, who has been entertaining fans for the last 18 years was a mechanical engineer by profession. In a throwback interview with Times of India TV, the actor stated that he had quit his job to pursue his passion of acting. He also revealed that it was his on-screen wife Sonalika Joshi who recommended him for Bhide's role.
