As darkness fell over Mushkoh on June 27, 1999, six Indian Air Force MiG-21 fighter jets streaked in fast and low through the moon-lit valley along the Line of Control (LoC), bombed pre-determined targets and vanished over the jagged mountain tops before the enemy realised what happened.
