The National Green Tribunal has directed Bhopal Municipal Corporation to map sewage outfalls entering the Upper Lake, Lower Lake, Kolar and other water bodies using GPS coordinates and flow measurements. BMC must also quantify untreated sewage, monitor water quality and STP performance, and prepare a time-bound plan to close treatment gaps.
