In New Delhi, a large-scale security operation resulted in the detention of over 7,000 protesters on Saturday. The protesters were primarily demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, citing allegations of vote theft. Key opposition leaders, including former chief ministers and activists, were also detained during the attempts to mobilize support. The ruling BJP criticized the protests, describing them as a failed show of opposition.
