A deadly building collapse at a paying guest accommodation in Delhi’s Satya Niketan has killed at least seven people and injured several others. Twelve people were rescued, while the PG owner Hariram Gupta, his wife and son have been arrested. Police have also arrested labour contractor Sanoj over alleged construction activity at the building. The Delhi High Court has sought accountability, while MCD suspended five officials and began inspecting unsafe structures. The government has announced a proposed PG regulation policy. Meanwhile, an AAP allegation of a mobile jammer at the rescue site has been denied by Delhi Police.
