Rising airfares, geopolitical tensions and currency volatility are pushing Indian tourists towards domestic staycations and extended weekend breaks this summer. Tour operators said travellers are increasingly choosing longer stays at nearby destinations such as Lonavala and Matheran instead of overseas holidays.
