Few beauty myths about the growth of facial hair have been propagated as much as the one that shaving once makes it grow back thicker, darker, and generally wilder. It is a reasonable claim to make, seeing how the regrown hair can appear coarser when fresh off the razor and much darker as it comes back in stiff, short, and sometimes even prominent hairs in the stubble.
