Councillors in Kargil have filed a no-confidence motion against the Chief Executive Councillor. This move follows a disagreement over a rotational power-sharing agreement. The current CEC reportedly refuses to step down as per the understanding. Supporters claim they have the necessary majority to prove their stance. The Lok Sabha MP from Ladakh also backs the motion.
