A curfew-like situation prevailed around Shahi Masjid at Chhatri Chowk in Ujjain on Tuesday as authorities cordoned off about a one-km radius following Monday’s stone-pelting. Heavy police deployment and barricades restricted movement and affected businesses. Meanwhile, removal of the identified mosque portion continued, with scaffolding erected outside the structure.
