Santacruz Sewer Tragedy: Worker Dies, Another Hospitalised After Entering Manhole During Drain Cleaning At Society
A 50-year-old worker died and another was hospitalised after they allegedly entered a municipal sewer manhole during drainage-cleaning work at a Santacruz East society. Police are registering a negligence case against the contractor and may also book society members for hiring private workers without informing BMC. The probe is underway.
