A 12-year-old girl who suffered severe head injuries in a 2003 road accident remained in a coma for nearly 16 years before dying in 2019. Observing that no amount could compensate her parents' loss, the Bombay High Court enhanced their compensation by Rs 37.3 lakh, citing overlooked long-term caregiving, medical and related expenses, with 6% annual interest.
