Water leakage from the iconic dome of Mumbai's CSMT during restoration has been traced to porous stones and ageing masonry joints, the RLDA said. Experts from VJTI and heritage conservation specialists are finalising a repair plan that preserves the UNESCO site's original character. Restoration work is underway and is expected to be completed by August 31, 2026.
