A Khandwa hotel was sealed after a family alleged finding a dead rat in packed mutton purchased from the establishment. A child who consumed the food reportedly fell ill and vomited. Food officials inspected the hotel, collected samples for laboratory testing and found its food licence had not been renewed since 2025.
