Thousands of applicants awaiting MHADA's lottery for 2,640 Mumbai homes have demanded an early draw date, saying about Rs 375 crore in EMDs has remained blocked since May. Applicants claim they are paying interest on borrowed funds while MHADA is expected to earn interest on the deposits. Officials say the draw is likely in the first week of July.
